In order to earn an activity letter, LCHS speech and debate members must: 

1. Finish the season as a member in good standing. (All fees paid, meet gpa eligibility requirements, and no school discipline.)

2. Provide judging for 3 tournaments during the season; 1 of the 3 must be Cave Classic. Recruiting judges for Cave Classic is mandatory for all team members. 

   • In the event that we hit the maximum number of judges our team can provide at Cave Classic or you are NOT able to provide a judge for Cave Classic due to being unable to attend, a student may substitute judging for 2 additional tournaments for the 1 judge at Cave Classic (judging for 4 tournaments total)

   • In the event we have too many judges, judges will be removed based on those judges who are least available and based on when they signed up, with the latest signups and least available being removed first.

   • Any request for an exception must be made at least 2 weeks in advance and approved by the Head Coach and the Presidents & Vice Presidents.

3. Compete in any 3 tournaments during the season.

4. Earn 6 Service points
