The Academic All American award recognizes high school students who have earned the degree of Superior Distinction (750 points); completed at least 5 semesters of high school; demonstrated outstanding character and leadership; and earned a flat GPA of 3.7 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).
NOTE: If the flat GPA is between 3.5 and 3.7 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent), students also must have received an ACT score of 27 or higher, or a New SAT score of 1300 or higher. Students may apply through July 31 in the year they graduate. For example, if a student graduates in May 2024, they have until July 31, 2024 to apply for the AAA Award.
Email the head coach (lcspeechdebate@gmail.com) requesting to be nominated. Please include the following:
HS Transcript (it must be uploaded it to the NSDA as part of the nomination processes)
If your flat GPS is between 3.5 & 3.7, please include your ACT/SAT score results sheet that can be uploaded as well.
A short essay of 250 words or less of why you believe you should be nominated as an Academic All-American.
A list of accomplishments you believe should be included, not in your essay.
Please allow up to 2 weeks for the nomination to be entered.
NOTE:
To be considered for a college application, the process can take up to a month to be approved after it is submitted.
