• You must have paid the team dues to the boosters!!

• Be sure you have turned in your Tournament APS Permission Packet or you will not be able to compete/attend.

Legislation:

Legislation due September 2 to Mrs. Eames.

• Any individual student may submit 

• Submissions from a school as an entity must be limited to two per school. 

• Remember to submit both NM specific legislation AND federal. We reserve the right not to include legislation that is poorly written, formatted, or that overlaps with another submission. 

ALL LEGISLATION MUST BE ORIGINAL WORK BY A STUDENT/TEAM - NO AI

Events:

Senate (Varsity Congressional Debate/open to any student) (entry limit 10 per school)

House (Novice and JV Congressional Debate, open to students in 1st or 2nd year of competition) (entry limit 18 per school)

Capitol Congress will follow NSDA Congressional Debate Rules. The top six students in each chamber will receive awards.

Schedule:

Judge arrival: 8:15--8:30
Caucusing & Swearing In: 8:30--8:50, House Floor
Morning Session: 9:00--11:30 (New Mexico specific legislation)

Afternoon Session: 12:30--3:00 (Federal legislation)

Awards: 4:00 or ASAP, House Floor
