Speech & Congressional Debate only tournament, everyone encouraged to enter

Tournament includes a Navajo Cultural Night Friday with competition on Saturday.

Schedule

Friday, October 28

2:30pm - Load luggage at La Cueva

3:00pm - Leave La Cueva, caravanning in chaperone vehicles

6:00pm - Arrive in Farmington & Check into the Hotel

7:00-9:00pm - Diné Cultural Night (Dinner and Celebration)

• The first hour of this event will consist of a variety of cultural activities (including games, crafts, language learning, and cooking) at stations around campus. Guests may select from these options, some of which may require sign-ups (stay tuned!). As we approach the evening’s halfway point, we will transition into a communal Diné meal. The evening will conclude with a cultural presentation from Kevin Belin, Director of Navajo Prep’s Diné Bizaad Institute, as well as some song and dance! Students, coaches, judges, chaperones, and bus drivers are all welcome, and dinner will be provided at no cost to our guests!   

9:00pm - Return to hotel

10:00 - Lights out

Saturday, October 29

7:30am - Depart for Navajo Prep High School

8:30am - 5:30pm (est) - Atsá Invitational

6:00pm - Travel home, eating dinner (provided by Boosters) on the way

9:00pm - Arrive back at La Cueva High School
